The truth is that I can’t pick just one area. There are a few that I think really stand out as places to stay in Buenos Aires for families.

Palermo Neighborhood

If you love culture, music, and museums, the Palermo barrio is one of the best neighborhoods to stay in Buenos Aires. This cultural melting pot is becoming an increasingly popular place for expats, tourists, and digital nomads who want to take full advantage of the wide boulevards, a seemingly endless array of funky local restaurants, and enjoy the booming nightlife of Palermo.

Palermo is packed with gorgeous boutique hotels making it one of the best Buenos Aires barrios for families and other visitors to the city. Make sure to visit Sopa de Principes on El Salvador near Jorge Luis Borges. This funky shop sells handmade puppets dreamed up by Argentine artist Victoria Longoni as well as other fun souvenirs from the country.
